Masonry courtyard restoration

For this masonry project, our skilled masons meticulously removed the damaged materials, carefully salvaging as many of the original bricks as possible for reuse in the reconstruction. The walls we worked on were notably complex, with some sections being two and even three rows thick, highlighting the intricacy and craftsmanship required for this restoration.

Once the project was completed, the transition between the new and old work was seamless—virtually indistinguishable to the eye. Our team went to great lengths to replicate the original masonry details, paying special attention to recreating the precise strike on the mortar joints to match the historic technique.

To maintain the authenticity of the structure, we used the reclaimed bricks from the original wall to replace the broken sections, ensuring a consistent and cohesive appearance.

Additionally, we carefully matched the mortar color and texture to the existing materials, blending the new work perfectly with the old.

The project also involved restoring unique features, such as curved walls that incorporated historic plaster elements into their construction. These details required both technical expertise and a deep respect for the historical integrity of the structure, ensuring the restored walls not only matched the original aesthetic but also honored its legacy.
